Remény Imagery was created for the sole purpose of inviting
inquisitive minds to view photography in order to better
understand the world around us. Remény is a Hungarian word for hope, and is an instinctual element involved in the images created in my work.
I grew up in St. Paul, Minnesota as a first generation Hungarian. Both of my parents immigrated to the United States in the early 1970's, and shortly afterwards, I was born.
I traveled quite extensively as a child and teenager, and quickly became engaged with the diverse environments that I encountered. I knew that photography would be a part of my life ever since I obtained a 110mm camera when I was four years old.
Images from around the world by National Geographic
photographers, Time Life, and Magnum, have had a powerful effect on me as a child, and were instrumental in my decision to become a photographer.
After finishing my Associate of Arts degree in Liberal Arts at Seattle Community College (1998 - 2001), I acquired my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in photography from the Minneapolis College of Art & Design (2004 - 2006).
